About Me as a Provider

Hi there! Thanks for checking out my page! Let me elaborate on what therapy with me often looks like.

I foster a belief that wellness is a holistic concept, encompassing emotional, physical and social well-being. I use a collaborative and strength-based approach with her clients in order to help my clients flourish. I start sessions by establishing a strong alliance with each client.

I work with a variety of individuals, using energy in sessions, direct communication, humor (when appropriate) and make sure to help explain “the why” and “the how” of things, in order to help make life challenges…less challenging. I believe in the “teach someone how to fish” approach of therapy, so you have the skills to adapt to life stressors in the long-run. (I would love to put myself out of a job one day.)

I offer individual therapy sessions to adults. I work well with adults of all ages. I find high achieving individuals interested in pursuing a career in health-care, education, and first responders make up the majority of my caseload. Typically, these individuals like to see me come in with experiencing anxiety, burnout, imposter syndrome, depression, and  other life adjustments.

I have experience working in a variety of mental health settings, such as rehabilitation centers, hospitals, day programs, and school settings. Additionally, I also have a military background. I have worked with adults who have been diagnosed with anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment problems, trauma, grief, ADHD, and more. In the past I also have worked with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and physical disabilities as well. Today, I focus on working with caregivers to children. I work with clients of various ages, genders, races, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and national origin.

I do my best to ensure that the therapeutic setting will be warm, understanding, and safe in order to facilitate insightful therapy. I believe in the power of humor in sessions, while also implementing  a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities such as mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy, and other approaches that will work for you specifically.

Typically, people begin to notice to feel a difference after about a month of weekly sessions with me.
